BTEK bamboo headwear, developed by Legendary Headwear, is manufactured in an environmental friendly method. The bamboo stalks are cultivated and mechanically crushed into a pulp until they separate into thin threads of fiber. This fiber is then spun and woven into bamboo yarn (this process is similar to how rayon is spun). From there, the fabric can be dyed into a vibrant range of colors.
The BTEK fabrication process DOES NOT use harmful chemical processes or charcoal methods to breakdown the bamboo stalks (like many existing bamboo fabric products available today)... Instead BTEK utilizes a mechanical method of preparing the bamboo material.
